Meet the Team
Patrick Murphy – Managing Director
Today Quantum is owned and operated by Patrick. He has a wealth of knowledge in the motorsport industry, formerly a number one mechanic for Benetton Formula One team, Patrick has himself raced in various formula’s all over the world. He has a huge passion for the motorsport industry and has been involved with Quantum since 1992.
Clair Murphy – Credit Controller / Office Manager
Clair joined the Quantum team in 2008 as office manager. She too has had a keen interest in motor sport for many years stemming from her brothers racing in Ireland. She has a keen interest in mountain biking and has completed the South Downs Way.
Laurence Wilson – Design Engineer
Laurence joined Quantum in 2008 in the machine shop and has since developed and evolved numerous Quantum projects. He looks after all the design and development work at Quantum and is an expert with CAD software. Laurence has a love for the beach and is part of a beach volleyball team.
Peter Kovacs – CNC Programmer / Setter
In 2018 Peter joined the team as a CNC Programmer, he machines the parts for our products in house. He has a high attention to detail and ensures all parts are manufactured to the highest quality. Peter has completed numerous manual milling and CNC courses throughout the years in Hungary and the UK.
Chris Laker – CNC Programmer / Setter
In January 2022 Chris joined in the assembly shop and has since transferred into the machine shop in March 2023. Chris has successfully completed programmer courses for lathes with Mills CNC. Chris enjoys problem solving and transferring this into machining parts for Quantum.
Allan Brown – Sub Assembly Manager
Allan joined Quantum in the assembly shop in July 2021. He ensures that all the dampers leave here in tip top shape whether serviced or new, to ensure customers achieve the best possible performance from the product. He has completed 8 of years of rally co-driving, similarly taking part in sprints and hill climb events.
Hebe Clark – Damper Technician
Hebe joined in 2020 in the assembly shop, she takes control of stripping, cleaning and rebuilding of serviced dampers and assists in the assembly of new ones. She is fascinated by the world of motorsport and loves a day out at a circuit dyno testing dampers and meeting customers. She has a keen interest in Skiing and has spent several holidays skiing abroad.
