Honda Civic EK4 / EK9
Coilover suspension kit
The Honda EK: Widely known and respected as the last Civic hatch with double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension. This UK market EK4, owned and prepared by Luke Harvey at Tytherington Body & Paint, has been built to contest Castle Combe Saloons. The two colour-coded adjusters are conveniently accessible from within the engine bay and also the boot: Black for bump and red for rebound. Turn either adjuster and an audible click indicates an adjustment has been made.
In addition to having adjustable spring platforms, the length of the front dampers can be altered, providing an additional means of ride height adjustment independent of spring pre-load.
At the rear, a billet aluminium clevis fits over Luke’s Function7 lower control arms. Alternatively, the same damper is available in the eye style, with a teflon lined spherical joint.
